New study aims to boost HIV prevention in meth-using men

Summary

This study tests two approaches to help men who have sex with men and use methamphetamine start or restart HIV prevention (PrEP) or treatment (ART). 400 participants will receive either contingency management (rewards for filling prescriptions) alone or combined with motivational interviewing, all via telehealth. The goal is to see which method works better at getting people to fill their HIV medication.
