NCT ID NCT04823377

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special decision-making tool can help doctors and patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer decide when to stop cancer treatments. The goal is to reduce the number of patients receiving chemotherapy or other treatments in their last days of life, which can be harsh and offer little benefit. The study compares usual care to a period where the tool is used, involving 364 participants.
