Can lower blood pressure save more stroke survivors?

Summary
This study tests whether lowering blood pressure more aggressively than current guidelines can prevent major heart problems and strokes in people who have already had a stroke or mini-stroke. About 4,368 participants will be randomly assigned to either intensive blood pressure control or standard care and followed for about 3.5 years. The goal is to see if a lower target reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke, heart failure, or death.
