First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested an online parenting program called Family Check-Up Online for rural families where a parent may misuse opioids or other substances. About 356 parents of young children (18 months to 5 years) took part. The program aimed to improve parenting skills, reduce stress and depression, and prevent future substance use. Researchers wanted to see if this telehealth approach could help families who have trouble accessing in-person services.
