First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested two online programs—cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness—to help adults cope with the distress caused by tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Sixty-seven participants were randomly assigned to CBT, mindfulness, or a waiting list. The goal was to see if these internet-delivered approaches could reduce tinnitus-related stress and improve emotional well-being over eight weeks.
