First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is testing two online cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) courses for veterans who are at risk for suicide or have depression. One course focuses on depression symptoms, and the other on suicidal thoughts and behaviors. The goal is to see if veterans find these self-guided programs acceptable and helpful. About 472 veterans from rural and urban areas in five states will participate.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a convenient, self-guided online therapy option to help veterans manage depression and reduce suicidal thoughts.
