Could a common nausea pill make colonoscopy prep easier for kids?
NCT ID NCT05439772
Summary
This study tested if adding an anti-nausea medicine (ondansetron) to the standard laxative drink could make the colonoscopy preparation process easier for children and teens. The goal was to see if reducing nausea and discomfort helped patients finish the prep drink, leading to a cleaner colon and a more successful procedure. Researchers compared the standard prep to the prep with the added medicine in a small group of young patients.
