Fish oil drink trial aims to fight cancer treatment side effects
NCT ID NCT07255066
Summary
This study is testing whether a special nutritional drink with omega-3 fatty acids (like those in fish oil) can help people with advanced lung or colorectal cancer who are at risk of malnutrition. About 118 participants will be split into two groups: one gets the omega-3 drink plus dietary advice, and the other gets standard care and advice. Researchers will check if the drink helps patients maintain their weight, muscle mass, and quality of life during cancer treatment.
