This study aimed to see if taking omega-3 fatty acids before and after major heart surgery could lower the chance of confusion (delirium) in patients aged 65 and older. Only one person enrolled before the study was stopped, so no conclusions can be drawn. The approach was to give omega-3 supplements around the time of surgery.
