New hope for Tough-to-Treat cancers: drug trial targets specific genetic flaw

Summary
This study is testing whether the drug olaparib can help control advanced cancers that have a specific genetic change (IDH1 or IDH2 mutation) and have stopped responding to standard treatments. It is enrolling adults with certain brain tumors, bile duct cancer, or other solid tumors. The goal is to see if blocking a specific enzyme in cancer cells can stop or slow tumor growth.
