New study tests if ofatumumab can protect nerves in MS patients
NCT ID NCT07353216
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how well the drug ofatumumab works and how safe it is for people with relapsing multiple sclerosis (RMS) in China. Researchers will measure a nerve damage marker called sNfL in the blood to see if the drug helps protect nerves. About 80 adults with RMS will take part and be followed regularly.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Ofatumumab
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could confirm that ofatumumab effectively reduces nerve damage and relapses in Chinese patients with multiple sclerosis, supporting its use in this population.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study with only 80 participants, so results may not apply to all patients. It does not compare ofatumumab to other treatments, and long-term risks remain unknown.
