First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at what to do when a small, hidden inguinal hernia is found during surgery for a hernia on the other side. About 252 adults will be randomly assigned to either repair the hidden hernia right away or simply watch it over time. The goal is to learn which approach is better and to create a tool that helps patients make this decision.
