First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at how obesity (BMI of 30 or higher) is linked to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition that causes heartburn and regurgitation. Researchers will measure how common obesity is among 200 adults with GERD. The goal is to better understand this relationship, not to test a new treatment.
