Exercise plus amino acids may trim fat in metabolic syndrome
NCT ID NCT01326416
First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether a program of exercise combined with a daily drink containing leucine and arginine (amino acids) could help obese adults with metabolic syndrome lose body fat. 79 participants followed the program for several weeks. The main goal was to see if total body fat decreased. This approach aims to improve health but does not cure obesity or metabolic syndrome, which require ongoing management.
