First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether training nurses to follow evidence-based guidelines can reduce infections and other complications in intensive care units (ICUs) in low- and middle-income countries. About 50 nurses will be trained and their patients' outcomes compared to usual care. The goal is to see if better nursing practices can lower rates of ventilator-associated pneumonia, bloodstream infections, and pressure ulcers.
