First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether a nurse-led coaching program could help women who had breast reconstructive surgery after breast cancer. 58 patients were split into two groups: one received regular discharge instructions plus nine online coaching sessions over 12 weeks, while the other got only the standard instructions. The researchers measured self-care ability and quality of life at the end of the program to see if coaching made a difference.
