Gum cell changes linked to diabetes and periodontitis in new study
NCT ID NCT07375719
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study examined 95 adults with diabetes and gum disease to see if blood sugar control and gum disease severity are linked to changes in gum cells. Researchers looked at cell samples under a microscope for signs of damage. The goal was to better understand how these conditions affect cells, not to test a treatment.
