New radioactive antibody could light up Hard-to-Treat cancers

NCT ID NCT07272642

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This early study tests a new radioactive antibody called NTH-2403 in 16 people with advanced colorectal, head and neck, lung, or triple-negative breast cancers. The antibody targets a protein found on cancer cells and their supporting cells, allowing doctors to see tumors on scans. The main goal is to check safety and how the agent spreads in the body, not to treat the cancer.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

NTH-2403 (a radiolabeled antibody that binds to a protein on cancer cells and nearby cells, used for imaging)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could improve how doctors see and locate certain advanced solid tumors, and may pave the way for targeted treatment.

What could go wrong

This is a very early, small study (16 people) focused on safety and imaging, not treatment. It may not lead to effective therapy, and radiation exposure carries risks.
