Can a vitamin pill supercharge a Low-Carb diet?
NCT ID NCT06044935
Summary
This study aims to understand how a low-carbohydrate diet and a dietary supplement called nicotinamide riboside (NR) affect the body's metabolism. Researchers will measure how these interventions change the way healthy, overweight adults and people with a specific genetic form of diabetes burn fat and use energy while they sleep. Participants will stay in a clinic, follow specific diets, and take either the NR supplement or a placebo while undergoing detailed metabolic tests.
