Blood pressure cuff could predict heart failure in lung clot patients

NCT ID NCT04855370

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study aimed to see if a non-invasive blood pressure monitor could help doctors assess risk and treatment response in people with a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lungs). The researchers planned to measure how well the heart pumps blood in real time using a finger cuff. However, the study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available.
