New scan could spare liver patients painful needle tests
NCT ID NCT07365709
Summary
This study aims to see if special ultrasound scans can accurately measure pressure in the liver's blood vessels without using invasive needle procedures. Researchers will test 107 adults with liver cirrhosis who have already had or need the standard invasive pressure test. They'll compare results from the new ultrasound methods against the current gold standard to see if the scans could provide a safer, more comfortable alternative.
