Oxford's Ear-Scan device could replace blood tests for pregnancy anemia

NCT ID NCT07361380

Summary

This study is testing a new portable device called VITA that aims to detect anemia and iron deficiency in pregnant women without needing a blood draw. Researchers will use the device to scan the ear's blood vessels and compare the results to standard blood tests from 300 participants. The goal is to create a faster, easier way to diagnose the cause of anemia so women can get the right treatment.
