Summary
This study tests if applying nitroglycerin directly to the bile duct opening during an ERCP procedure can prevent pancreatitis, a common and serious complication. Researchers will enroll 440 adults who need ERCP to remove bile duct stones. Half will receive the nitroglycerin spray during the procedure, and the other half will not, to see if it reduces the rate of pancreatitis.
