First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study was planned to see if giving nitric oxide during heart surgery helps protect blood vessels in patients whose vessels were already not working well. It was an add-on to a larger trial, but was withdrawn before any patients were enrolled. The goal was to measure blood flow changes after a brief arm blood pressure cuff test.
