New drug trial aims to tame rare, aggressive tumors

NCT ID NCT05879146

Summary

This study is testing an investigational drug called nirogacestat in adults with desmoid tumors, a rare type of non-cancerous but aggressive growth. The main goal is to understand why some people's tumors respond to the drug while others do not, by looking for specific biological markers. Researchers will also track how well the drug controls tumor growth and its safety over 12 months.
