Midnight medicine: phones and motorbikes fight child deaths

NCT ID NCT05506683

Summary

This project tested a new nighttime service to help sick children in Ghana get care faster. Parents could call a hotline, and trained medical staff would assess the child by phone, visit their home if needed, and deliver medications. The goal was to treat common childhood illnesses like pneumonia, diarrhea, and malaria early, before they become life-threatening emergencies, by overcoming barriers to nighttime care.
