Decade-Long quest to map the progression of a rare nerve disorder
NCT ID NCT00598351
Summary
This study aims to understand how neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) progresses over time. Researchers will follow 269 participants, aged 8 to 75, for up to ten years, tracking their health with annual check-ups, MRI scans, hearing tests, and blood draws. The goal is to learn what causes tumors to grow and how they affect functions like hearing, speech, and swallowing, which could help guide future treatments.
