Scientists track mysterious growth of NF1 skin tumors

NCT ID NCT00314119

Summary

This study aimed to understand the natural growth of benign skin tumors in adults with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1). Researchers tracked 17 participants over two years, using detailed photography and skin biopsies to measure how fast tumors grow and what genes might be involved. The goal was to gather essential information to help design future drug trials, not to test a treatment.
