New stomach procedure tested for weight loss

NCT ID NCT05711758

Summary

This study is testing a new, less invasive endoscopic procedure called Pylorus Sparing Antral Myotomy (PSAM) for weight loss. It involves making a small cut in the stomach muscle to slow down how quickly food leaves the stomach, which may help people feel full longer and lose weight. The study will enroll 30 adults with obesity to check if the procedure is safe, tolerable, and effective over 12 months.
