New ultrasound test could replace surgery for endometriosis diagnosis

NCT ID NCT05523284

First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests a new ultrasound technique called SPG to diagnose superficial endometriosis, a common but hard-to-see form of the disease. Researchers will compare the ultrasound results with the standard surgical diagnosis in 50 women. If successful, this could provide a faster, less invasive way to diagnose endometriosis.
