Doctors test new 'Scopeless' spleen treatment to stop deadly bleeding

NCT ID NCT07354789

Summary

This study is testing a new, less invasive way to treat a dangerous bleeding complication in people with advanced liver disease (cirrhosis). Doctors will use a special ultrasound scope to inject tiny particles into the spleen, aiming to reduce pressure in the liver's blood vessels and lower the risk of future bleeding. The goal is to see if this new method is safe and effective compared to current treatments.
