New scan could spot hidden damage from cancer treatment

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can detect and monitor tissue scarring (fibrosis) caused by radiation therapy. It will enroll 72 adults with lung or pancreatic cancer who are scheduled to receive radiation treatment. The goal is to see if this scan can spot this type of damage earlier or more clearly than current standard imaging methods.
