New scan aims to spot spreading prostate cancer more clearly

NCT ID NCT03173924

Summary

This study is testing if a new type of imaging scan can better detect prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, like bones. Men with metastatic prostate cancer will get two different scans to compare their accuracy. The goal is to see if the new scan, which uses a special tracer called 18F-DCFPyL, is more precise than a standard bone scan at finding cancer spots.
