First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested a new lab method to diagnose platelet function disorders, which can cause easy bruising or bleeding. Researchers enrolled 322 people with known or suspected platelet problems to see if a simpler blood test using flow cytometry could find signaling defects that standard tests miss. The goal was to make diagnosis easier and more consistent across different labs.
