New scan aims to see inside tumors, predict treatment success

NCT ID NCT06502691

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can better show how well a patient's breast cancer is responding to certain targeted drug treatments. The scan uses a special tracer that lights up a specific protein in cancer cells. Researchers want to see if this new scan can detect treatment success earlier or more clearly than current standard scans in 22 patients with breast cancer that has spread.
