New scan could spot hidden cancers faster and more accurately
NCT ID NCT07629609
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new type of PET/CT scan (using [68Ga]Ga-FAPI-46) to see if it can find and stage gastroesophageal and pancreatic cancers better than current scans. About 90 adults with these cancers will get the new scan before surgery or treatment, and some will have a second scan during chemotherapy. The goal is to improve diagnosis and help doctors choose the best treatment.
