New hope for kids with aggressive brain cancer: experimental stem cell therapy trial opens

NCT ID NCT07031765

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether a combination of specially prepared stem cells and an immunotherapy drug (nivolumab) can help children and young adults with aggressive brain tumors that have returned after standard treatment. The study involves 12 participants aged 4-26 who will undergo surgery and receive the experimental treatment. Researchers want to see if this approach is safe and feasible while looking for signs it might help control these difficult-to-treat cancers.
