Floating heart pump trial offers hope for advanced heart failure patients

Summary
This study is testing a new magnetically levitated heart pump called the BrioVAD System for people with advanced heart failure that hasn't improved with standard treatments. Researchers will compare it to an existing heart pump to see if it's at least as safe and effective. The trial will enroll about 780 adults who need mechanical support for their failing hearts.
