First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests a new, smart electrical stimulation system that aims to improve walking in people who have had a stroke. The system uses sensors to adjust stimulation in real time, helping to correct foot drop. Twenty participants will compare this new system to a standard one during treadmill and overground walking. The goal is to see if the new system is safer, more comfortable, and more effective at correcting foot drop.
