Shocking the way to better arm movement after stroke?

NCT ID NCT07513714

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding functional electrical stimulation (FES) to task-oriented training helps stroke survivors with arm stiffness and weakness regain more movement than training alone. About 40 adults who have had a stroke and are receiving Botox for arm spasticity will participate. The goal is to see if the combination leads to better hand and arm function.
