First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This phase 2 trial is testing whether a combination of drugs called BV-AVD works well for people with newly diagnosed, early-stage bulky Hodgkin lymphoma. The study uses PET scans to guide treatment and includes about 71 participants. The goal is to see if this approach can stop the cancer from growing better than standard treatments.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Brentuximab vedotin, doxorubicin, vinblastine, dacarbazine, pembrolizumab, gemcitabine, vinorelbine
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a more effective treatment option for people with early-stage bulky Hodgkin lymphoma, potentially improving their chances of staying cancer-free.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase (phase 2) trial with only 71 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug combination can cause side effects like nerve damage, low blood counts, and infections.
