DNA tech aims to speed up bone infection diagnosis

NCT ID NCT07256405

Summary

This study is testing whether a new DNA sequencing technology can help doctors identify the specific bacteria causing bone infections after a fracture more quickly and accurately than current methods. Researchers will compare results from this new test to standard lab cultures using bone samples from 100 patients. The goal is to see if the faster DNA results could help doctors choose the right antibiotics sooner.
