New heart care model could spare thousands from unnecessary procedures

Summary
This study tests a new way of caring for people with new-onset stable chest pain who may have coronary artery disease. Instead of routinely using a heart catheterization, the new model promotes a less invasive CT scan first. About 3,369 adults across 16 regions in Germany will take part to see if this approach reduces heart attacks, strokes, and related complications while lowering healthcare costs.
