New poke test could better predict broken bones

NCT ID NCT03076034

Summary

This study is testing a new, minimally invasive method to measure the quality of a person's bone tissue. Researchers want to see if this new measurement can better identify people at risk for hip and wrist fractures, even when standard bone density scans look normal. The study involves about 190 men and women who have recently had a fracture, comparing them to people without fractures.
