First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a new articulated prosthetic foot designed to improve comfort, safety, and mobility during daily activities like walking on slopes and stairs. About 120 adults with lower-limb amputations will compare the new foot to their current one. The goal is to see if the new design offers better performance and user satisfaction.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
new articulated prosthetic foot
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a more comfortable and safer prosthetic foot for everyday activities like walking on slopes and stairs.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage device trial with only 120 participants, so results may not apply to all amputees. The new foot may not be better than current options.
