Scientists test Brain-Boosting drug duo to slow early dementia

NCT ID NCT06467539

Summary

This study is testing whether combining two types of drugs works better than one to slow cognitive decline in early Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment. Researchers will give 80 participants a drug that affects brain signaling (an NMDA-enhancing agent) plus an antioxidant drug for 24 weeks. They will measure changes in memory, thinking skills, daily function, and quality of life to see if the combination is more effective.
