First seen May 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested whether a brain-training technique called neurofeedback can help healthy young adults stay awake and think clearly after a full night of sleep deprivation. Twenty-two participants completed eight neurofeedback sessions designed to change specific brain wave patterns. The goal was to see if this training could reduce the impact of sleep loss on wakefulness and mental performance.
