First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This small pilot study tests whether adding brain-wave feedback (EEG) to virtual reality therapy helps people with schizophrenia better tolerate and reduce distressing auditory hallucinations. Thirty adults with schizophrenia who hear voices will receive either VR therapy alone or VR combined with neurofeedback. The study focuses on whether the combined approach is feasible, acceptable, and shows signs of being more effective at easing symptoms and improving daily life.
