Could a probiotic pill ease stress and improve sleep?
NCT ID NCT07717385
First seen Jul 21, 2026 · Last updated Jul 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether taking a daily probiotic supplement called Neuralli Mood for 90 days can help reduce stress, sleep problems, low mood, anxiety, and burnout in adults who experience these issues. Participants take two capsules each day and complete questionnaires before and after the 90-day period. The study is single-arm, meaning everyone gets the supplement and there is no placebo group.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- a daily probiotic supplement containing Lactobacillus plantarum PS128 and Lactobacillus paracasei PS23
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a simple, non-prescription way to manage everyday stress and sleep problems.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early study with no placebo group, so results may be due to chance or the placebo effect. The supplement is not a treatment for any medical condition.
