Can nerve stretching plus joint mobilization beat tennis elbow?
NCT ID NCT06765798
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This completed study tested whether adding nerve mobilization (stretching the radial nerve) to the Mulligan technique (a type of joint mobilization) helps people with chronic tennis elbow. Sixty adults aged 20-60 with elbow pain lasting at least three months took part. Researchers measured pain, arm function, and grip strength to see if the combined approach works better than standard therapy alone.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
neural mobilization and Mulligan mobilization with movement
What this could lead to
If the combination works better than standard care, it could offer a more effective physical therapy approach for chronic tennis elbow pain and disability.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed trial with 60 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The study did not report blinding or long-term follow-up, which limits confidence in the findings.
